Our Beginning

A Humble Start in Perinthalmanna, 1974

We had a humble beginning in 1974, retailing spare parts for two-wheelers and three-wheelers in Perinthalmanna. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of the rubber plantation sector, Mr. P.K. Kuruvilla expanded into retailing agricultural chemicals and fertilizers under the name M/s SOMAS.

Riding the wave of the Malabar Gulf boom, we too struck the right notes. In due course, SOMAS grew manifold, with large MNCs joining ranks. We shifted gears from retail to wholesale distribution across Malappuram and Palakkad.
